my SO cannot barely be in the same room as my lab without sneezing

that being said, there are plenty of breeds that won't mess with her allergies

her fam has a lhasapoo (mix of lhasa apso and poodle) that has zero effect on her allergies

anything mixed with a poodle won't bother her. maybe look into a labradoodle. You can get them in large size or medium size range

I know people with one that is 60 lbs and another set of friends who have one that maxed at 25. Great dogs and do not bother people with allergies

ETA: Stay the frick away from yorkies. Never been around one that doesn't bark it's head off constantly

Any kind of poodle or poodle mix (all the mutt doodles and such) will get you the desired low shedding as well.

A 25 pound labradoodle would be pretty perfect as long as it's not too high strung.

The wife really wants a labradoodle or something else mixed with a poodle next. Less shedding is fine by me.

Look at the golden doodle mutts that have been bred from smaller poodles. They are a lot more chill than the lab mutts.

f&%k these annoying little rodents. If I wanted a rat, I'd just leave cheese out every night until I had one. Those things are annoying, yippy a-holes.

We have a lab/beagle mix, about 35 lbs. Great listener, loves to run but is also very lazy most of the day. Pretty perfect combination.

I've got a Cairn that's a great dog. West Highlands are great too. Mine's kinda small, 14 lbs., but is pretty solid. I really didn't want a small dog that looked feeble or thin boned. Mine definitely isn't.

And I've got a buddy that has a Westie that's a snake killer. He was bitten by one when he was a young dog, and they thought it was gonna kill him. He survived and now he loves killing them.

It really depends on the dog, goldens are a little more laid back of a breed than labs.

Childhood friend had one that was an unholy terror and my uncle had one that was spoiled and lovable, but had lots of expensive medical issues. Can't risk a dog being either.
