He was bitching about it on twitter, and then getting into it with followers that told him maybe he shouldn't be shitting on the team every chance he gets

Meh, it's one thing to be doing your job as a reporter. It's another to have an agenda to portray the team negatively.

And it doesn't have to be. But if you are going to be on a mission to portray the team in a bad light, they have no responsibility to allow you access.

Did the guy tell Luhnow the information (not who told him; just what he had been told) and ask for a comment or rebuttal before posting the story? If the answer is no, the reporter did the wrong thing as a beat writer.

That was the only run Fields gave up all of July in 11 appearances. Hopefully he has turned a corner, clearly has major league stuff.
