My one meal at Giovanni's was laughably bad. This was 5-6 years ago, but everything was so baroque, form the flavors to the plating. Couple that with two tenors belting opera 8 feet away and it is a place that anyone can afford to miss.

I must be ordering the right things and y'all must be ordering poorly.

The opera singers didn't bother me any of the times I was there, but they moved around a good bit and then stayed in the back part of the room for a lot of the time. I only really noticed them when one made a pass near the table during a tune.

Never understood the appeal of this. I wouldn't go to a place for that reason alone.
