If so how much cheaper is it to get it there compared to other gas stations around town?

Depends. If you're the type that doesn't know where the cheap places for gas are, you can save about $0.20 or so a gallon. If you're like me and pay attention to where the cheap stations are, you only save about $0.06/gallon.

If you use it as your primary source for getting gas the savings will probably cover the cost of your membership. That's about it.

Regular gas is currently $3.16 and Premium is $3.40. It is consistently lower than surrounding gas stations. They recently were also certified as a top tier fuel station. I believe the fuel comes from Marathon across the river and they add detergent on site. They also have an attendant working keeping it clean and pumping gas for people that need help.

I know nurse does. But she practically lives at costco. Heard she was gonna buy her first kid there.

In B'ham, it's about .15 cheaper than most places near the CostCo store. If you fill up once a week on a 15-gallon vehicle, you'll save $2.25 each week and thus about $100 a year on gas. As someone said already, that pretty much just pays for your yearly CostCo membership and unless you are meticulous in your financial documentation, you'll never really notice that you're saving money.

Though I do know someone who is pretty much OCD when it comes to keeping up with his money. He lives on a strict budget so much so that I wonder if he's thinking about it every hour of the day. But as he explained to me once on a long car ride, he's saving a little over $1500 a year compared to a few years ago when he didn't care about saving a dollar here or there.

I usually do Costco or Kroger depending on whether I have enough kroger points to get the full discount there. I work across the street from a costco and live down the street from a kroger so its easy.

A few cents at my closest location. There are several gas stations within sight of Costco that differ by only a few pennies.
