I can only speak for myself. I accept Jesus, and I hope he can do for you what he's done for me. As for your soul, or your afterlife, that's a matter for you. All I can say is that acknowledging my brokenness and following Christ has brought me immense joy and peace.
I don't disagree. But, how do you get around the Biblical quotes and all?

"Biblical quotes"
Someone once told me is that the thing separating the denominations is the part of the Bible each chooses to ignore.
Jesus says a lot of things, some of them clearer than others. For me, and I speak only for myself, I'm supposed to grapple with that, to earn my spiritual depth by really wrestling with it.
I am very careful about how I present this. Jesus taught pretty clearly that the penalty is harsh for those who mislead. My faith is deep, really deep. Yet I'm very wary of blanket certainty. For me, that's because I try to stare deeply, and fearlessly, into the conflicting mess that is the Bible, and into the opaque words and elliptical stories of my Savior.
