Bama wasn't even in the top two teams in the SEC when the season ended. Bama was below Georgia and LSU

Damnit....Just Quit already. Look, I was as upset as anybody at the outcome....but it was what it was. In the championship game, Bama beat our arse. Period. I hated the rematch...but, if we are being honest, no question that was the best 2 teams...which i s what I believe a championship should be. So...give Bama their props...and I fully expect them to give us ours when we destroy them in thee next several years.... Now the USC argument is a different animal.....those fruitcake a lost fair and square and shouldn't have been in the game.....so frick them and Dan Fouts.

I didn't realize til now, that was the last time we beat bama.. we're over due.
Also to the Tennessee fan who commented, my friend devan is a die hard UT fan also, any time I get mad about the 2011 season he says the exact same thing. I wouldn't trade the 2011 season for anything. It was one of my top 3 favorite seasons to watch. The ending was the most painful ending to watch. And all the BS allowing Bama in the game just makes it more annoying.

Have to give Bama credit they are LSU loud for this game.
Been to one game there. They were surprisingly loud. Ditto for Jordan-Hare. I hate to break this to you, but LSU does not have the corner on this market.

Udt, take a deep breath man........

While you are 100% correct in your belief that nothing short of a media anointing breathed life into a foe vanquished in their own home (the oil used also poisoned the sweetest college season ever put together, btw/IMO), take solace in a couple of things:

1. Fully one, and partly another of our recent championships were kinda/sorta delivered by that same media, and

2. The travesty that was "Bama/LSU - this time it counts ("no, really, it does")" was SUCH a miscarriage that the viewing public actually thought it was an abortion. Want proof? 3 years later, national championships are delivered under an entirely new set of procedures. Man up, accept the pain, and realize that Alabama's gluttonous appetite and whorish behavior in 2011 ensured the next whore doesn't just get her way because she freely slings it from both drawer legs. That fact alone is at least worth something.

i will never understand this statement. that's like saying you should get a free pass to the superbowl if your team is better on paper, even if you don't make the playoffs. it doesn't matter how good your team is if you can't win the games to deserve a spot in the title game.

bottom line is bama shouldn't have been in the championship game, but it is what it is I guess.

The only problem with the 9-6 game was that it was fool's gold when it came to preparing for the second meeting. Alabama was the only team that year that was capable of stopping us, and they pretty much did so even though we won. I think our coaches believed that our same game plan that worked against everyone else all year would work against Alabama the second time...and obviously it didn't.

Everyone was blinded, watch the Arkansas and sec title game. Jefferson was terrible in both of those games and defense/special teams completely saved us.

I don't need to see that game again because it didn't mean anything for Alabama. Didn't win the conference let alone their division..

Also, not to mention that Nick Saban voted his program high in the Coaches' Poll (part of BCS formula) and Mike Gundy had no vote for OSU that year because only 60 or so coaches vote per season. That's what is BS to me because he didn't have a say when Saban did, and I think Saban put them as low as 4 or 5 with Bama at #2. I'm over both games, but the corruption of the polls was a problem for me. I can only hope this selection committee won't be as biased as some coaches.
