On an unrelated note, why does he need a verified account? People need to be ABSOLUTELY sure he is the REAL Will Blackwell?
I'm sure it makes him feel more important than the rest of his entry level colleagues, probably also why his twitter handle still has his college football number on it .

Will Blackwell ?@WillyB60 To the TRUE LSU fans out there, I wouldn't trade LM for KK for anything based on looks alone. Now, Del Rio or Peyton is a different story.
Seems like he has realized what he has done and is trying to joke about his comments.

wonder what metric he's using then? Crazy how Blackwell thinks he knows so much about a coach whose head coaching career began after he was out of football. He must be impressed with Kingsbury's 5 straight losses to end the season

How did KK come to start being compared to Les Miles in this twitter conversation? What the frick?
Kliff can't hold Les's brass balls-filled jock.

Damn Will... stop.
Once you choose to voice your opinions this loudly, you have now opened yourself up to others to do the same about you. That's a fight you can't win.

Geauxgurt said the critiques were attacked with veracity. Veracity means truth or accuracy. Thus, Geauxgurt is saying that the critiques of Miles were attacked with the truth.
No, it means I know sarcasm. In their minds they know the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth on Les. The fact is that they think what they believe to be fact, when it is something that is debatable.
Also, it is being attacked with veracity if all they are going to do is repeat the fact that Les has X wins, etc. Those are facts, but they ignore context when discussing them further.
In the end, I said, Les is a great coach, yet you are butt hurt because I mention that some people are ridiculous in defense of him. Now that goes both ways with the morons that think he's a horrible coach, but Blackwell giving his opinion is laughed off and called out as treason? Some of you people are ridiculous.

it wasn't just his initial tweet, it was all the tweets and responses that followed. He sounds like an ungrateful douchebag who is completely naive to reality. Yes, he played football for Les, which none of us did; however, many of the statements he made were contradictory and completely illogical. It doesn't take an ex-player to come to that conclusion. Not to mention, he was a team captain. He was supposedly viewed as a leader. Leaders don't go on social media and publicly trash their ex-coach, regardless of how he may feel. He deserved all the comments and criticism he received in return.

Not defending Blackwell, but to act like coaches have never publicly trashed players is simply a farce. Even Les has multiple times acted unprofessionally and laid blame for something on individual players and recruits. Heck, Les went out of his way to call out an 18-year old kid for his transgressions.
He's just as guilty of being a poor leader in that sense that many of you are attacking Blackwell for.
Again, Blackwell is speaking his mind, but most are right that this isn't the appropriate way to do it, but calling it treasonous, is just stupid.

when has Les made a comment in public like "I'd trade X player for Y player in a heartbeat." Les goes out of his way more than most to defend players.

Glad to know he works for Stryker, I deal with them on a daily basis. Wonder what his territory is?

An associate rep at Stryker is a little beneath an aspiring intellectual. I am sure his managers will be glad to know he is pissing off the LSU faithful. Think of the shite he will spew about each manager he has that he doesn't agree with thru the years.

LSU fanbase praises miles for....going 10-3 every year? At LSU, this is something MANY coaches could do regularly, including KK
Same thing people said about Texas, Florida, Miami etc etc. Coaches matter. No program can win consistently without a good coach.
Exactly. 1000%
Saban didn't come close to doing that while he was at LSU and it doesn't just happen automatically at big time programs. CLM said it to Greg McElroy the other day, winning is done by those presently at the institution not those who came before and somehow left winning there.
WB is showing his immaturity and bitterness. This will probably affect his employment at some point and he gets what he deserves.

I think that since he put in the time and accomplished what he did he has the credibility that no one else has.
Credibility yes, but that doesn't mean as a grown man you act like a 12 year old. He also has a responsibility to a university, coaches, team and fans who gave him a shot and supported him.
This type of stuff hurts recruiting and is simply not good for LSU. We all have opinions but maturity tells us when to share them publicly.

I don't think he meant that his actions today will hurt his employment. What he's saying is that he needs to grow up or his immaturity will catch up to him eventually. I don't think it should be all that debatable that he was acting very immaturely with his twitter rant. He's not a professional athlete anymore. Employers do look at what you say on social media. He needs to learn that sometimes opinions are better left to yourself. Honestly, if he had only tweeted that first tweet and not responded to people for hours that disagreed with him, it wouldn't be a big deal at all. But when he started acting like a child in his subsequent responses, that's when he should have just shut the hell up.

Calm down. It is Sports Treason and thus permissible and not the real treason for which you can be shot. Unless you are a Bama fan then they shoot their own players and fans.
Sports Treason and Sports Hate are perfectly acceptable within a normal, rational society.

This may be his biggest mistake. He has created a level of distrust.
