i think a Verizon phone only works on Verizon.
i dont see much point to unlocking the bootloader either since that's such an easy process the person buying the phone could do it.

Yes. Provided the buyer values the fact that it's unlocked.
Note 3 is one of the 'world phones' that have both gsm and cdma radios.
