So would unlocking my note 3 allow me to sell it for more? Verizon BTW

Yes. Provided the buyer values the fact that it's unlocked.

Note 3 is one of the 'world phones' that have both gsm and cdma radios.

Response was snappy. Overall it's a nice phone and I love the camera. My situation is relative to the Note 3 though.

If you're coming from a GS3/GS4, HTC One (m7), iphone 4s/5, etc. you'll probably be happy with it.

I got mine in yesterday (att 3gb/32gb) and I'm not impressed. Nothing really wrong but the few positives (camera, no touchwiz) aren't worth losing my note 3 stylus and usb3 quick charge. I'm back on my note already this morning.

I'll wait for the phones this fall.

One of my favorite things to do on the kamado. As mentioned above you'll want to pan it after you get enough smoke on it.

Stuff it with garlic & onions
Season for bark
Smoke it at 225 for about 2 hours
Stick it in a pan with beef broth, onions, garlic and foil it tightly. I like to pull it so I run it til 200 internal and take the bear paws to it.

I live in a small town with no bakery but this stuff is great for pulled beef

Provolone is good on this also.
Assuming equal velocity the force of the baseball would be more concentrated at impact. The bat may also glance off easier.

Just ordered a bunch of business checks from Checks Unlimited online. Cost per check was about 1/5 of reordering from the bank but I had to order about 1200 checks to get that price. I'll have checks for a long time

they ended up selling my car loan to this company

Yep. They bought up consumer loans in my industry as well. Horrible customer service the few times I've had to work with them.

The lawyers turned it into a racket with this statewide test. I think the pass rate is ~11-13% after the prep course. I need it for our business but I'm not wasting gas, time, and energy for that kind of pass rate.

Either setup a two tiered notary system where you have one tier that can pass sales and other very basic tasks, or go back to the parish commissions. Goddamn lawyers.

Does anyone know if judges can still appoint you as a notary?

Now it you get a chance buy a half pound of pepper crusted eye of round sliced very thin from Whole Foods. Roll each slice into a cylinder and sprinkle sea salt on them. Get a good french baguette and a good white cheese like say Lambchopper. Then open a good bottle of red and enjoy the evening.

Thanks. Your post made me remember why I don't come to this board anymore.

Free advice anyone?

I'm 24, wife 26. Bought our first home 09/2009. Just out of college and no credit we went with our local bank. 15 year amortization @ 5.75% but only 5 years fixed rate.

I call them up last month to see if they'll refi for 15 years at a fixed rate. Will only do another 5 years fixed (it's been 2 years) at the same rate (5.75). I would love to go local but c'mon.

We now have 2 years of home ownership on our credit and just over a year on a new car. Never missed a payment. One card that we pay off monthly. 720-740 range on our credit scores as of last winter.

Advice on where to turn and not get raped with fees? I'm leary of mortgage companies, should I be? Realistic expectations on what rate we can get for 15 year fixed?

Thanks

Need both imo. Product guys to stay relevant, bean counters to stay competitive in the marketplace.

I'd much rather deal with the product oriented guys and I want them to lead the way...but if I'm priced out of the target market I can't sell that perfectly designed product to anyone.

Of course the ashtray example is ludicrous and I'm sure we could find many equally silly instances but I look at them as outliers that make a better Time magazine article---not a reason to axe or demote every executive with a finance background.
