Metairie. The land of banks and chain restaurants.
That's definitely what Metairie has been turning into for a long time.
You forgot to add that it's also the land of Walgreens and CVS stores.

mexican food in new orleans blows. chipoltle is equally horrible.

As much as I hate to mention Laplace, La Carreta's in Laplace is the best I've tasted. great food, great place.

You poor.

It's also not "tex mex". It's not authentic, either. Honestly, I'm not sure what category it falls into besides whatever category Moe's, Qdoba, etc are also in. Chipotle is cheap as hell considering how expensive your typical fast food chains have become and how much healthier Chipotle is. It's good clean food at a good price (~$7). The flavor won't blow you away, but again, it's clean food so that is somewhat to be expected. Can't hate on that.

If you believe you are eating clean at chipotle you are very mistaken.

By fast food standards, absolutely.
Chicken, brown rice, black beans, salsa, lettuce, and a tortilla. Yea. That's pretty fricking clean.

You realize they aren't cooking any of that in the building right? They grill meats, cook rice & guacamole but all the other items are made in a commissary. Their food is full of GMOs and trans fats..... Far from clean eating. Don't believe the hype....

Gmos and trans fats in the chips and tortillas. Other than that is is pretty clean and healthy other than the sodium content.

Yes. I'm well aware. Read my post again. When I don't bring food to work, other options include Wendy's, McD's, Zaxby's, Pei Wei, a "NYC style" pizza place, to name a few. Yea, I'll take the Chipotle. I don't eat super clean anyways, just try to stay away from the burger and fries place most of the time. Chipotle just ticks all the right boxes. It's filling, has a lot of protein, not too terribly high on the sugars, and it's not expensive.

what was greasy? pork?

You could get a salad from Zaxbys with double meat no fried onions. This is what I eat when I dont bring my lunch.

Not a bad option. I'm not trying to do low carb by any means, though, and I don't know if a salad would give the calories I need (around 3,000 a day). I just try to avoid simple carbs, most times, and get a lot of protein.

chicken bowl
no rice
black beans
brown beans
extra fajita veggies (they aren't greasy idk what you're talking about)
lots of pico
medium salsa
lettuce
pretty damn healthy if you ask me. just cut out the rice and fattening sour cream and cheese.
