Citing your example of Bogies: it was opened by a guy who was SAE (when they were cool). He hired people who were in the decent fraternities to work there, so it became a greek hangout. Also: that patio is awesome.

The people make the bar. Not just girls. If it was just girls every dude in BR would be in bogies, then the douches would chase the girls away. It tends to be easier for greeks to take over a bar and make it popular for their crowd

In South Louisiana, at least college wise, you have to have a strictly bar atmosphere. Clubs attract guidos and non-tippers. Both scare off white girls, or at least the ones that guys with money go after.
