It's not too much worse than a cross-country flight.

Just would have to schedule bye weeks and other trips to accomodate.

Good luck attracting free agents, though.

So when are the Rams moving to London?

Seriously, though, there are some logistical reasons preventing this.

I think this talk, like the LA talk, is a ploy to help the owners hold their cities hostage.

How exactly does Europe get an NFL team before Canada?

Sort of rhetorical as I know the answer is money, but this seems weird to me.

In order to combat Jet lag, they would need to schedule London a Bye week before flying to USA, then maybe schedule 2 or 3 "Away games for them" then they could return to London.

This x 1000.

I'll believe a team in L.A. when I see it, because that'll be the day when every other NFL owner loses leverage over his current city for continued public financing of the stadium and myriad other revenue streams.

I don't believe a team in London will happen for all sorts of logistical reasons, but a team in L.A., while a distinct possibility, won't happen because the other 31 owners would quietly block any sort of move because it would cost them the upper hand with their respective locales.

Questions:

1. How difficult is it to obtain a work visa in England?

2. Do they refuse work visas for criminal history?

Would be impossible with the way UK work permits work. It would be a nightmare.

Would have to get a completely separate exemption just for the NFL, and that would piss off lots of people in England.

People here hate Goddell (more like Evilel amirite) and bitch about every change that the NFL proposes/makes.

You're probably right.

I dislike Goodell more than any other figure in sports quite possibly, but it doesn't mean every idea he has is the worst idea ever. Besides, everyone knows BountyGate was his worst move ever.

Why should LA get another team? They have shown that they won't support an NFL.

Probably retarded but would the NFL take off the salary cap for just the team in London? The exchange rates and pricing of goods over there is a bit... much. This might entice players to go to London? Plus, it'd be in line with the EPL/soccer salary structure over there~

Yup.

Too forced. Doesn't seem logical.. does a home team lose a game?

Yup another element I didn't even think of..

Moving to a new state is one thing, but a whole other country?
