Big dead spot in grass after using Talstar

Has this happened to anyone else? I sprayed my entire back yard last weekend and used 1oz/gallon and followed the instructions listed under mosquito control.
This morning I walk out to check on the pool and just about dropped my coffee. My perfectly green yard has this 12" x 36" patch that is just yellow as can be. Dead. What was odd to me is that the patch runs right to where I have a french drain in the middle of the area.
Has anyone experienced anything similar? Ideas/thoughts?

Might just be the heat killing the grass on top of that French drain.

This. You can see it in all neighborhoods with covered culverts along the sidewalk this time of year.

Ok, that is a good point. I never thought of that. It's never happened in the past but I can see how that is entirely possible. It's been extremely hot lately and that area gets sun almost all day.

Either dog piss or your dehydrated piss. Quit taking a whiz in that one spot
