Interesting.

I think both Captain Marvel and Panther are CRUCIAL to Marvel moving forward, but dropping either of them in a final scene? That's an awful idea.

The new team is likely going to be sans Hulk, Iron Man and possibly Widow.

So Cap, Thor, Vision, QS, and Witch. Strange would probably join up.

And my gut tells me, with AoU going to Wakanda, that Panther is a shoe in for Cap 3. That's been my guess all along. First Avengers was setting him up. Winter Solider was thwarting a mostly national threat. Cap 3 is going to be all about the international stage. Panther fits the Cap side of things, Political Unrest in a post-Ultron attacked Wakanda would be perfect, and it gets moving and chasing WS.

Book it. Black Panther in Cap 3. It's the perfect intro for the character.

If its a cameo its just to let you know Captain Marvel will be a major character in the near future. Apparently a Captain Marvel standalone movie is a lock right now but they could possibly use her in AoU or Cap 3.

With a little tweaking this would be a nice homage to the books when they made the first big change.

Though I don't see them going to a Cap's Kooky Quartet scaled down team, I think a team like Cap, Hawkeye, Vision, Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, along with maybe Thor or Wasp or Ms. Marvel would be a nice fit.

I don't really want to see Dr. Strange in the Avengers though. I may be old school but I just don't picture him as a classic Avenger.

Of course if they are going to mix it up with the likes of Thanos down the road, the more power the better.
