When Gray handed the man his driver's license the agent demanded to see Gray's passport.
Gray told the agent he wasn't carrying his passport and asked why he needed it.
The agent said he didn't recognize the license.
Gray said he asked the agent if he knew what the District of Columbia is, and after a brief conversation Gray realized the man did not know.

How much do you think they're paying for TSA agents?
These are not FBI agents with college degrees.

So ... are you arguing that it is unreasonable to expect that a ... well, let's just go with ... a high school graduate ... to be aware of the District of Columbia ?
If so ... don't ever fricking defend liberal public education again.

And what exactly is liberal about public education? Are you saying there is some type of conservative education that is better?

Yikes ! I hope you're wrong. Why have public schools failed ????
Well, I bet 99.9% of home school kids understand what DC is.
Would you really argue that home school isn't considered a more "conservative " option?

Sounds like it has more to do with piss-poor training.

Don't really think that was his point or question....
I think he was more asking why public school is all of a sudden considered liberal

Very true! If you're lucky then you only have one.

If this guy can't verify a legal US ID, I'm not so sure he could verify a fake Yemeni or Pakistani passport.

I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a middle school educated person, much less a freaking high school graduate to know that our nation capital is part of the USA.

shouldn't step 1 be to show them what real documents look like?
