You said they had enough to turn in the petition before the MoL annexation vote. Boy were you wrong!

They didn't have to have all 18k to turn them in, as Scott McKay suggested. I'm not sure what you are even arguing. I have never once said how many signatures they have. Keep witch hunt.

The only thing laughable in these threads are your ridiculous claims:

38 million
9+2-2=11
Bodi White withdrew his bill
The annexation is a done deal
Rainey is getting paid
$100k raised
Signatures for 2 years
No SG paperwork filed

So we have a never ending bet?

No sir. No sir.

You made a bet that they could get the signatures to get on the last ballot. That didn't happen.

I allowed for the next. Still don't have them.

Photo the written check and post please.

Keep trying. I said we will get 18k. We will. The end. Hell there is a half page ad in the advocate today that says we have 17076.

What's the time table on this?

As long as it takes for you to not lose?

And how many of those 17,076 live in the area?

Many posters on here claimed that they didn't even live in the area, yet signed the petition.

Maybe they did, maybe they didn't. Every signature gets verified by us, so sign it as elvis if you can find someone who will let you. Won't stop us either way.

I said we will get 18k when people were saying "if they dont have it now they never will". We will. Its no deeper than that. Now that you and a few others see we have 17k, yall are losing your minds.

"wussed out"? I am one of Joel Boe's constituents, and he is standing up for me. I'm not in favor of the city of St. George, not all of us in the unincorporated area are. Why do you feel all metro council members that represent any of the unincorporated should automatically be for it? Should I be claiming that Heck and Amoroso are not standing up for me?

I've taken Freshman level classes at BRCC with A TON of products from the EBR public school system. Trust me when I tell you it's not working. There's no way these people legitimately passed High School with the same curriculum I did (Ascension parish). I had to peer review a few of their papers in English 101, and they couldn't even structure a simple essay that was legible. And that's something basic you have to do to pass Senior year in High School. Same with Freshman algebra. There's NO WAY a majority of them passed High School Algebra.

Saw this posted on the business report:

Based on Census Tracts: 38.05, 40.06, 40.09, 40.10, 40.11, 40.12, 45.02, 45.04, 45.07 and 45.08

Kids under 5: 5,703
5-9: 5,074
10-14: 5,554
15-19: 5,846

Woodlawn, the only high school in St. George, holds roughly 1,200 students. If St. George were to incorporate and have its own school system, what happens when private school kids/parents want to now attend the great public schools of St. George? How will it be determined who gets to attend the schools? What happens to the private schools that will surely lose enrollment? Will the public schools of St. George then have a selection process for those to attend its public schools? How long will it take to build schools to satisfy the demand? How will those schools be paid for?

The new Lee High is +- $50 Million and will accommodate about 1,200 students.
