So what's the point of concentrations towards a degree?
there you go
you concentrated in biology with your GS degree
you DID NOT get a degree in biology

because maybe some desperate HR woman will think your qualified...
Just go get a sales job in pharma or med equipment. You are qualified for that. I don't know how successful you'll be without T&A though.

To be concentrations. You didn't major in them. I spent 8 years at LSU, changed my major 3 times. I have enough credits for a psych minor, huec minor, and two classes short of a bio minor.
Do you think I say I majored in any of those things? No. Know why? Because I didn't.

They don't. You need two other concentrations. Nice try though.

I guess so that people can become drug reps without taking all that goddamn orgo.

Nice troll, sir.

If you really thought it was stupid why are you wasting your time being involved so much?
I don't think it is stupid, as a holder of a Bachelor of Science from LSU, I take offense to the fact that you are intentionally misleading people to make them think you did more work than you actually did.
Did you look at the difference in requirements between a general studies degree and a BS in Biology?

It is a masterful troll. OP doesn't have a single down vote. Time to change that ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

DEGREE DETAILS
BACHELOR OF GENERAL STUDIES WITH CONCENTRATION IN BIOLOGY
Program Type: Baccalaureate
The Bachelor of General Studies degree program is designed for students interested in interdisciplinary education. The degree program includes a core academic base and allows for flexibility in selecting an area of concentration. The program is especially valuable for students who wish to
help design their own course of study in a degree program;
change college majors late in their academic careers;
return to college as mature students with new career interests;
attend college irregularly or at night;
or
pursue a non-traditional degree program for personal enrichment and satisfaction.
sounds like it's meant for a base only and to eventually go back for a BS, not as a final degree

So let me get this straight people think to have a degree in Biology you must obtain a bachelors of science?
I thought the major of your degree should be reflective of your qualifications. Being that you have a Bachelor's of Science in Biology means that you have completed a well rounded discipline of science that focuses most on Biology. Correct? Okay I get that.
However, why does having a BGS take away from the novelty of having a degree that was mainly focused in Biology (NOT COMPLETELY, but I have taken nearly all the BIOLOGY classes needed for a BS) But without the Chemistry and 1 or 2 upper level BIO courses that means I should delegate myself to say my degree is in General Studies? I admit I do not have a BS because of the chemistry classes but to say I don't have a degree in Biology? Really?

Yes, really. The sooner you realize this, the better.

You cannot pursue a degree that you have already majored in. In this case I cannot go back for a BS in Biology because I already have a BGS in Biology AND THAT WAS THE EXACT WORDS FROM THE CHAIR OF THE BIO DEPT
