Getting a fit Arteta back is crucial. 'Fit' being the key word. On his day he is vital to what we do and when he's played this year he's been nothing short of outstanding for the most part.
I honestly don't know where Theo fits at this point. He probably slides into the four man forward rotation and gives Giroud and Welbeck competition.

Depth is what we need and those three are quality depth. Really hope Rogers decides to play a 3 man back line on Sunday.

Based on the Newcastle game alone, it looks like we've got something going with that front three of Welbeck, Giroud and Alexis with Cazorla in behind and The Ox playing centrally while Rambo is out injured. There is a lot of pace and variety in that attack, and when you throw others into the mix like Walcott, etc., you've got one hell of an attack on your hands.
Liverpool are coming off a 3-1 away win over Bournemouth today in the Capital One Cup, but Bournemouth could have scored 5 on another day! They missed 2 sitters in the 1st half and hit the post and had a couple of other chances in the 2nd half.
Liverpool's defense is so poor, even worse than ours over the season to this point, so we'll get our fair share of chances on Sunday. Just got to put them away!

If they play a 3 man back line with Jones in goal it could be the exact opposite of last year's trip to Anfield. We have played pretty well of late except for that pitiful first half performance at Stoke.

I really think Rogers is clueless defensively. It's the only way Lovren could go from so good to so bad in a year.

Johnson is out, he sucks but he does have pace. We will shred a 3 man back line. Like we did against Gala. Did Van Gaal even play that against us? De Gea is the only reason we didn't win that match comfortably. Jones is no De Gea.

I'm really thinking we should win this 3-1

I'm like 99% sure they did, at least in the first half.
Thinking about that game still infuriates me.

I can't think about it.
No Arteta this weekend and Theo might make the trip. Ox to be assessed on Saturday.

They started 3 at the back but Shaw twisted his ankle like 10 minutes in and they went four.

It's also being reported today that Liverpool might be without Lovren on Sunday after he was subbed off at halftime of their Capital One Cup game last night. Sakho is likely to get a rare start for them.
At this point, with Lovren's terrible form, I'm not sure that is a better option for them going into the weekend.

Very true. Seems to me that our attack is going to cause them some problems. Lucas will probably play even deeper than normal.

Jack not making a square pass, terrible finishing, and awful defending was the real reason we lost that game. What a missed opportunity for 3 points. I'm still embarrassed by that result. Ashamed actually. United is finally weak enough for us to take advantage and we don't.

FA just announced that Mario Balotelli is banned for 1 match and given a fine for an offensive Instagram post he made recently. That match just so happens to be Sunday against The Arsenal!
Super Mario has been awful all season long, but of course, he would have scored a brace against us this weekend if given the chance. Glad he's not playing.

Maybe Per can keep up with slow arse Ricky Lambert.

I just don't get the defending and our set piece set ups whether defending or kicking. No one at the posts, let them get a free run straight at the ball. Also all our crosses basically go nowhere.

Santi is alert defensively and makes good interceptions ... and almost always gives it right back up in the most risky positions.
