Release Date: September 19, 2014 (limited)
Studio: Amplify
Director: Terry Gilliam
Screenwriter: Pat Rushin
Starring: Christoph Waltz, Tilda Swinton, Ben Whishaw, Mélanie Thierry, David Thewlis, Lucas Hedges
Directed by Terry Gilliam ("Brazil," "Twelve Monkeys," "Monty Python and the Holy Grail"), "The Zero Theorem" stars two-time Academy Award winner Christoph Waltz ("Django Unchained," "Inglorious Basterds") as Qohen Leth, an eccentric and reclusive computer genius plagued with existential angst. Living in isolation in a burnt-out church, Qohen is obsessively working on a mysterious project personally delegated to him by Management (Matt Damon) aimed at discovering the meaning of life - or the lack thereof - once and for all. Increasingly disturbed by unwanted visits from people he doesn't fully trust, including the flirtatious Bainsley (Mélanie Thierry), Management’s wunderkind son Bob (Lucas Hedges), his unpredictable colleague Joby (David Thewlis), and would-be digital therapist Dr. Shrink-Rom (Tilda Swinton), it’s only when he experiences the power of love and desire that he’s able to understand his own reason for being.

I hope it's good. I'd like to see Gilliam get back on track.

He hasn't been on track since Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. 1998 began his slow downward spiral.

Just watched it and felt it was sub-par. The idea behind the zero theorem is that everything is meaningless, and the meaninglessness kind of carried over into the film itself. The ending is non-sensical and Waltz's character didn't really give him much to work with. The redheaded kid from Moonrise Kingdom was really good, the film did provide some solid laughs, and I thought Gilliam (as always) gave us an interesting world. They didn't have the budget, but I would have been OK if they had spend twice as much time roaming the streets as the did in the movie.

A very good digital copy is available to stream on primewire and I'd imagine their are torrents floating around.

His character was fairly quiet and unemotional outside of being a bit neurotic. He did well with what was given, the role limited him.

I'm sure this movie will look amazing, I'm sure the acting will be phenomenal, and I love Christophe Waltz, but I have zero interest in seeing this.
