I wonder if it's a mental thing with him at the ML level too. Or does Bo have a different approach with him than OKC does.
Dude is hitting .337 at OKC this year. That high of an average usually translates to at least competent at the next level.

What was TreeTrunks Wallace's avg at OKC, it certainly didn't translate lol

Well the dude pitching for the Rangers is making his first start in the bigs this year, so grossman should be good tonight, right?

I hate to agree with Ryno on something, but he is right about making Left Field a free agency priority in the offseason.
Clearly the guys we've got are not ready for the bigs, and a short term contract for a middle of the order left fielder will give them a little more time and satisfy the fans as well.

The question is...can we attract free agents?
Or will we have to acquire talent through trading some prospects because everyone thinks our FO hates our players?

I wouldn't mind him either, but I think he was just extended.

Has anyone seen a list of who will be eligible for the rule 5 draft over the next couple of years? You have to think they'll start trading prospects at some point or risk losing some decent players for nothing.

He sucks
this obviously proves he will be a stud, yet Appel's rough start is just bad luck—no matter what the numbers are.

Please quote me where I have ever said the words "bad luck" in regard to Appel. He has flat out sucked, but I'm not giving up on him. He was the #1 overall pick for a reason. He has dealt with injuries and I don't know if he has ever gotten comfortable with the Astros rotation. I think this off season will do him wonders and we will see a much better Appel next year.

Torii Hunter wouldn't come to a club like Houston at this point in his career but he would be a perfect stop gap.
