Looking at the long term.. How cost effective is it to invest getting the equipment and making your own ammo with all the shortages? Im sure when shite hits the fan it will be hard to get ammo or it will be to high to purchase. The economy down here will drop I'm sure for some time period.

If you are reloading .308, .45 or larger it is worth it now on a not very large scale. If you get into less than mass available rounds such as .50 cal .338, 45-70 you are winning with every batch of 25 or more.

Andrew Jackson is responsible for the trail o tears. F him. He was just as willing to use the oppressive power of the state as anyone else.

I'm very pro 2A and I'll probably catch a lot of hell over this, but I don't see too much harm in something like this if there is very credible and sufficient evidence that the person is very clearly mentally disturbed.
Extrapolation...required, UG.
Think.........I-R-S!
"Mentally disturbed", can be highly subjective, viewed through a political lens.

I dont see a problem with this at the state level. A little scarier at the federal level, but the concept i think is solid as long as they clearly state how they detrmine someone isnt fit for posession - some type of formal evaluation from the medical field reviewed by a judge in the form of a warrant would be appropriate.

My issue is this - in the small state of Connecticut, the police found 183 people last year alone that they deemed a threat to others. That number sounds high to me and I wonder what criteria they use to make that determination.

Lol, 183 is high?
There are 3.6M people in Connecticut.

As state officials across the country grapple with how to prevent mass killings like the ones at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown and near the University of California, Santa Barbara
I love this. How many were killed in our cities worst neighborhoods this weekend? Massive amounts. They always try and use these school shootings because they would get no where if they blamed poor minorities for violent crime in this country.
