Living in America I would think 99% of MLS fans would rather have USA win a World Cup than their respective club winning it all. But do y'all think that's the case in all countries. Just curious because I saw an interview of a west ham fan years ago saying he'd rather have his club win it all than England.

I don't think that West Ham fan is in the minority. They LOVE the club teams there immensely.

Country for sure.

I always wondered how united could England really be with all the bitter rivalries and living in such close quarters. For both players and fans. I wonder if it's hindered them and if so, how much.

Country all the way for me but some of the more hardcore MLS fans may disagree.

Are there really MLS fans out there who would rather win the MLS Cup rather than the World Cup?

I'd prefer the Pels win an NBA championship than team USA win Olympic gold or a World Basketball Championship. So yea, I can see how it would work like that in England and some other countries with soccer.

I think a more relatable example would be world cup or national championship. If I had to give up seeing bama win it all for 4 years to win the world cup in 2018 I could. Im in my late 20's and seen them win it 4 times already. They won it before and will at some point again.

God I want to see USA win the cup before I go. I think we could do it as a host nation like France(98) and England (66).

If you took away what the USMNT's success means for the growth of the game in America I would say I put club first, but with that added in i'm country.

Well look at it this way....would you rather your local NBA team with a title, or team USA win the gold at the Olympics or FIBA?

We want US the win the World Cup more so than club team winning the league because we arent really that heavily invested in a certain MLS or club team. The people over in Europe are, but we arent. So it wouldnt surprise me that some of them want their club to win it all over their Country because they are so heavily invested in their club every year.

Club. Simply because it is much more likely that the US becomes a title contender before Sunderland does in my lifetime so this way I'd get both.
