I tend to agree that if she takes him down, which is highly likely, it's over. People who know a lot more than me say that, right now, she'd take him down pretty convincingly.

and how would she do that?
would she catch one of his punches and then toss him over her hip, similar to how she takes down just about everyone with her over the hip throw
?
He's not going to let her get close to him. SHe's never been hit as hard as he would hit her with the first few punches he throws.

Of course she's never been hit by the best 135er boxing has ever seen. Not many people on earth have.

She trains everyday to not get hit while going for the throw/takedown. Floyd doesn't train everyday to defend takedowns.

shes' never trained to get hit by Mayweather.

Mayweather probably has some of the quickest feet on earth, plus he's a lot stronger than her.

Look at Liddell in his prime. He wasn't even quick and it was extremely difficult to get him to the ground.

Chuck trained his sprawl like a mad man to defend takedowns.

he also could punch you once while off balance and awkward and knock you the f out. That was his best defense against take downs.

Just ask Randy Couture. But, these are two world class trained mixed martial artists....that's their job, as is Ronda's.

Because he had great sprawl and a background in wrestling. Not because he had heavy hands, as you stated later.

Okay, now I know for sure that you don't know WTF you're talking about. Best boxer of all time.

Learn something about boxing before you talk shite. I don't think he's on ANYBODY's list as top boxer of all time.

And yes, in the octagon, she would destroy him.

Look, Gracie got into no holds barred toughest man contests as a very undersized fighter. And he beat everybody; even the giants. They couldn't defend against his jiu jitsu. Ronda would be the same against someone who didn't know how to defend against her.

EOT.

Most of the 'tough' guys here that think that they could handle a trained MMA fighter like Rhonda...

Ok out of ten fights, she will probably knock-out or submit you in 9.5 of them, you might get a lucky shot in the other 0.5.

So yeah, there is chance that you could beat her.

It doesn't matter how fast they are if he doesn't know what to do with them. That's like saying he has the fastest hands in boxing so he can throw a baseball 100 mph.

Fast feet doesn't mean you can defend a takedown from someone who lives their life taking down people who train to not get taken down.

Lidell was a division 1 wrestler.

At this point im certian teddy is trolling, Teddys probably a female fighter

really? Have you ever seen that happen, ever? Do you watch mma.

If he can punch her, she can clinch or better yet shoot at his legs. When randy fought tony he did an ankle pick. LINK theres no sprawling that can help you once he touches the ankle. Tony was never in range of a punch, unless you consider when he was falling.

Im not saying she would win, but to act like she would be defenseless is laughable.

I am stronger and faster than she is, plus about 20-30 lbs bigger; however, she has the upper hand far and away with technique. I would just stay upright and try to knock her out with a punch. Tough to say who would win, but I'd put money on her

He's almost last in ESPNs top 50 of all time.

LINK

You're a joke. Or a really bad troll. Anybody who thinks Floyd is one of the bests has no clue. He has fought a laundry list of mediocre fights and has avoided fights he knows he'd lose.

Ronda would skull frick him.

He's avoided Manny. He's won titles in 4 classes and has beat over 20 title holders. Is he the best ever, maybe not, but he's in the discussion and to say he isnt' shows your one of those old school idiots that still loves boxing and you don't like the fact that Floyd makes so much money and that he's so cocky so you find any excuse you can to say he's not great.
i do'nt like him either.

and no, no she wouldn't. she's a girl. and i thought i've made it clear that no girl can compete with a decently trained male of the same size in any sport.
top end high school athletes are better than the best ever in the same sport as women.

Nope. I despised Ali, but recognize him as a top 6 or 7 boxer of all time.

I'm extremely late to this thread but are people trying to say Ronda Rousey would beat Floyd Mayweather Jr. in a fight?

In an MMA fight in the octagon, yes. She would drop him and arm bar his skinny arse in seconds.

Not in a boxing fight.
