Assumption. Why would he know how to defend takedowns?

he wouldn't have a few weeks to learn how to defend being taken down?
I don't know if a few weeks is enough.

This has gotten ridiculous. I'm 6' 195 lbs and will be the first to admit she would absolutely embarrass me in a fight. I haven't been in a fight since the 6th grade. But to say she could beat any sort of male athlete who gets paid to train for fights (boxing, wrestling, MMA, etc) is crazy. She would probably struggle to beat top level male high school wrestlers of her same weight class although she probably could.

I don't think it's an easy skill to acquire.

I agree with you, which makes the notion that she could somehow beat a trained male fighter of any weight class even more outrageous. I would probably even take Mayweather in a fight over the male athletes you mentioned despite the weight difference.

now there's a legit debate, you might be too young to know about it, but Ed "Too Tall" Jones took a year off from the Cowboys to pursue a pro boxing career, he scheduled a bunch of punching bags for his fights, but it didn't take long for him to get his arse back into football pads, that's a different type of male athlete, the boxers wouldn't have fared so well in his world either

Again.. those are elite male athletes. Of course with training they would destroy her.

This is about OT ballers and non-elite male athletes.. who she would decimate

I'm pretty sure she could beat meisha Tate's boyfriend Brian caraway who is 135. But Uriah Fabre or tj dillashaw, hell no. Btw I think money mayweather would knock her out. but your non elite male athletes yeah she'll kick 90 plus percent of their asses. I know she would kick mine 100 out of 100 times

Y'all are taking shot too far. Could she beat up an average guy without fighting experience or training? Yea. The average person doesn't even know how to effectively throw a punch, has zero hand speed, no experience dodging punches, and would be totally out of breath in 1:30. Joe Blow would try to throw a haymaker, miss, eat a flurry to the jaw, a kick to the stomach and be on the ground before he knew what happened.

But Mayweather? Y'all are NUTS. He's a male professional fighter. He'd actually be able to put his huge strength advantage to use and would KO Rousey like old-school Tyson. He'd win 10 times out of 10.

Seems like a lot of guys in this thread either grew up with only sisters and got their arse whipped by them, or only have daughters and overtime start thinking women are equally as skilled, athletic and strong as men.

It's pretty fricking sad, really. Now I see some are saying that she could kick Floyd Mayweather's arse--a guy with a legit argument for best, pound for pound, or all time.

This is American manhood 101.

Well all I have is four years of HS wrestling under my belt (at 171), and I wouldn't have fallen for that weak-arse hip throw. Not a chance.

If she could get him to the ground, she would destroy him. But I doubt she could do that without getting KOd first.

No way. Strength has a whole lot to do with ground fighting. She might could take a lot of guys in a boxing match, but a down and dirty street fight, she's toast.

Why are you assuming that Mayweather doesn't know how to "fight", just because he chose to make 10s of millions boxing. Dude can probably brawl with the best of them.

Technique would beat strength more times that not. Look at the old UFC fights for proof of that

May weather has no concept of fighting on the ground and Rousey is an expert. Woman or not, I'd bet on her if the fight made it to the ground.

Now standing up with Floyd would end in about 1.5 seconds.

Exactly
I just don't see her being able to get him on the ground without eating a couple punches and if she eats a couple punch she is going night night

When did I say he doesn't know how to fight?

I'm just saying her ground game would be on a completely different level than his and she would take away the space he needs to throw a powerful punch (I'm talking about with gloves here, not really a street brawl per se) on the ground and could get him into a submission
