1. Are they worth the money?
2. Do you use it to cook different foods other than typical BBQ meats?
3. What is your favorite thing about the oven?
4. Do you also own a Yeti?
TIA

Yes it's worth it
It is extremely versatile. From BBQ to home made pizza. I've never had ribs so juicy, tender and full of flavor
We use wood chips from Arkansas which we love bc of the smoke flavor
My most fav thing to cook is steaks bc it gets upwards to 650 degrees
Also very easy to control the temp
Do not own a yeti, yeti hat, or sticker

Once you dial in the desired temp you can hold the temperature for long periods of time. Cooking steaks at 6-700 degrees.

How do you get the 650 degree temps for searing a steak, yet control the low temps for smoking? Never cooked on one a genuinely curious. I'm tempted to get one for an outdoor kitchen at my next house.

You have a control vent on the bottom and top to control the air flow
Hopefully keeping heat is pretty self explanatory with that info

The guy that we bought it from told us the xl egg wasn't as efficient as the reg size one fwiw. Dunno if that's true or not for the one u suggest
Posted on 7/1/14 at 7:39 pm to roguetiger15
There is some truth to that but I don't find it to be a noticeable difference...as long as the gasket is good they cook the same IMO
