It's not in your best interest to discuss anything with UH. Everything Pittsburgh does is amazing blah blah blah. Loves every player they have/pick up. Once they are off the team he might as well never cheered for them.

It'd be pretty interesting to go back to the NHL Season Long thread and see how many NISKANEN's!!! he dropped.

I just imagine him as the Penguins' Baghdad Bob.

Anyway, now that Grabovski and Kumelin have gone as a package deal to the Islanders, giving them a pretty great 2nd line, the Caps still have a glaring hole a 2C.

they only have $1.5 mil in cap space, but it's pretty easy to create the space by demoting Hillen and Beagle and then trading Erskine for a draft pick. That would give the Caps $4.5 million in cap space to solve the 2C issue.

Now, they could package Green off for a 2C (maybe call San Jose for Thornton), but I think they'll stand pat on defense. The idea of pairing Niskanen with Green as an offensive duo is just too tempting. Or they could trade MoJo or Brouwer for a 2C, but I simply don't know who is willing to tango.

Which leaves us with the dregs of free agency. You have three options: Legwand, Roy, or Ott. Legwand is old but has experience with Trotz. Roy is old and... meh. Ott is the tempting option because if you're trying to add a two-way center, he's pretty much the prototype. I think they'll make a play for Legwand, but I'd love to see them put Ott, who is more skilled than he's given credit for, between Brouwer and MoJo, pushing Kuznetsov up to the top line.

Just simply untrue, I love and continue to love a lot of our players including Orpik, not my fault he's past his prime and sucks arse now. Just stating the truth, he is pretty bad now and had a major knee injury to end the season in the playoffs to boot.

I said just a page or two back that Niskanen is a good player, but again, you overpaid and gave him a 7 year deal worth almost 6 per, that is insane for the player he is, good, not great. He was worth 5 million tops, I personally wouldn't go over 4.5 for him but that's me I know him a lot better than you do. There's not a writer/website out there that doesn't agree with that, him being overpaid for his talent level.

And most of the shite I say I just reiterate from twitter. I've liked all of our signings, sorry. NHL.com writer said we won the day yesterday, and I didn't even agree with that I thought the Stars probably won the day but maybe he was talking free agent signings only in which Spezza wouldn't count idk. Point is, I'm not the only one that says the same or similar and not just Pens fans either.

I was going to dislike it if we signed Kumelin to go with Malkin, for example. Was praying we didn't do that with all the rumors saying we wanted him.
