Like 2 per 45. Or is it a tradition to not allow them?

I think it would be great strategy to call one and set up proper alignment for a corner kick or a penalty kick.

Why do they need a time out for this when they have 30 seconds to set up for them as is?

No it would be a massive waste of time for a corner kick. Positioning on set pieces is why they train during the week.

There are enough natural stoppages for a manager to convey instructions if need be.

No.

These teams know what set pieces to use in specific situations.

These guys can remember things. They aren't dumb as hair like other athletes.

don't need to. Soccer athletes are a lot smarter than the average big 3 american sports athlete. Obviously you need TO for basketball/football BC let's face it, most of them are dumb and they need the extra time to set up

If you want a time out from running, then go be fat in another sport. Play football you only have to move for about 10 minutes the entire game.

Like I said earlier, I think this is just FIFA trying it out so they can still justify having the WC in Qatar during the summer.

It would help teams look more organized and help scoring droughts if they could run plays after a timeout. I vote yes, 2 per half
