I like it so far. Has potential. Some of the scenes where a little too much. Also, one of my biggest pet peeves in shows are smart arse kids.
But so far I'm into it.

Enjoyed the initial episode. Hoping the pediatrician's son steps on a landmine.

Yeah, good pilot for me to keep watching. Hate the son though.

the gay son may not last very long in that country and I was surprised by the ending when it turned out that the doctor was the one killed that guy as a kid

Watched the DVR of it tonight, will keep watching.

Watched the pilot and the show has a lot of promise. FX does not miss very much.

I'm not sure the board's feelings on The Bridge, but I thought that show was pretty weak. Because of that, I'm not getting my hopes up with Tyrant.

I watched the entire pilot but to me the lead guy seems like a whiney little bitch. And he came off to me as totally uninteresting, instead of mysterious. So I'm done.
I was hoping this would be like the film Syriana but a TV show. But to me Barry is so weak a lead and his family is annoying as shite, especially his wife. To be fair to the actress, the writing is so poor, it made the wife a complete and total fricking moron.

Seems like a modern day Caligula. Brother just fricks and kills who he wants.

Your post is wrong on every level

I wonder if he's going to hit his queer kid again?

fricking awful writing. The pilot was kind of solid but this is a disaster.

Same show runners as Homeland so cant expect much.

Ashrof Barhom (Jamal) is a badass in that show and this may just help his acting career. Other than that, I wasn't impressed mainly because of the main character (Barry).
Now FX's The Strain - I'll check that out!

I missed the second episode last night, how was it?
Pilot was pretty decent, but had indications that the plot would run thin very quickly...

I'm enjoying it thus far. Plot line intrigues me, but will likely run thin fairly soon. Tons of potential in my opinion. Acting isn't the best or the worst either. I'm excited to see what happens!

Caught the first two episodes of this off of my DVR. It kept my interest. I like that it isn't a crime drama, or reality show for one thing.
I'll give it a chance, right now the main guy seems a little one dimensional and it certainly seems like there are plot lines that will be predictable (gay son in a muslim country) but I've enjoyed it this far and I'll see where they take it.
