Polar Pop started a thread on this a while back. Do a search. You'll find some good advice in old threads.

I didn't think anyone would have started a thread on this. Thanks, I'll look for it.

It's surprisingly a popular fishing spot on here. I've fish there once. Caught a two man limit of ladyfish. It was awesome.

That's a year supply of anal lube. Gotta love ladyfish

Drive to dead end at Fort Morgan park, pay $7 to park in parking lot.
Park and take the path to the right (towards the bay side), once you hit sand, take a left and walk a few hundred yards until it starts to turn behind the fort. You can see the water line where the waves meet, I fished the line but you can fish anywhere around that curve and all the way back towards the pier by the parking lot.
Throw live or dead shrimp on the bottom, egg sinker and cast that bitch as far as you can, keep fapping to a minimum, it can be killer out there and was for me. We caught quite a few reds, pompano and some large black drum.
Shrimp at Top Gun in Orange Beach, cracked crab for dem bulls at the little blue store on Ft Morgan Rd.

Around what month did you catch the pomps?

I was there in mid August.
I have gone to GS/FM/OB every August since 2008, yet just found out about that spot last year.
Apparently the blacktips are pretty thick in that area, I didnt have any luck with them though.
