You can make a profit if you watch what you are doing. You'll take some bad bullpen beats but that's part of it. As someone said, stay away from the big favorites. I usually like to play the dogs and up to -120. Look for trends such as getaway day unders. Some pitchers are really good at home. Etc.

but you don't think betting on a random late June game between the Royals and Rockies is risky???

Haha touché! Guess I worded that wrong. What I meant was I have no idea how to bet soccer because I don't know anything about the sport or the ways to bet.

My advice:
Bet 1st 5 innings. Or bet last 4 innings. Do some homework on starting pitching era's vs bullpen era's for a given team.

Or research plate umps and bet unders on the loose strike zone.

Do not bet favorites. Bet dogs at +140 and less

Dog days of summer baseball is a crapshoot. Its also a marathon, not a sprint with beting. You are probably only gonna be in vegas to bet a handful of games. Just have fun with it. Take some slight home favs and some slight road dogs

I did a report on the LVH Super Contest for last year and only 9% of the 5000+ entrants would have come out at plus money at the end of the season had they made actual wagers on their 5 picks per week.

These are supposedly the best football bettors in the world that take part in the LVH Super Contest since it costs $1500 to join it
