Didn't Ed Mccaffery break his leg like Theisman? I seem to remember that ending his career.

When they reset the leg into it's socket he let out a blood curling scream and passed out.
In the hospital they discovered that one of his testicles slipped inside the socket and was crushed upon the leg being put back in place.

I bet he did scream and pass out. That just sounds awful.

after searching for the rumor I found this:

quote:

The teste is "safe" in the scrotum - and if pushed back up into the inguinal canal - it stays in the canal (and can be WAY painful, in and of itself!). If it goes ALL the way back to where it started, it MIGHT end up just south of the belt-line - within about three inches or so of the navel.

There is NO way in this reality (and many others) that the teste can go from being ANYWHERE near where it is supposed to be - to being nestled firmly in the socket of the hip.

Sorry - not true... it COULD be - but it requires MASSIVE damage from something like a car accident. A simple dislocation is not sufficient to provide the damage to support this situation.

In 1989, Buffalo Sabres’ goaltender, Clint Malarchuk had his jugular vein severed by a skate. The sight was so shocking that 11 fans fainted, 2 people had heart attacks, and 3 players vomited on the ice. If the skate had hit 1/8th inch higher on Malarchuk’s carotid, he would have been dead within two minutes. Additionally, If Clint hadn’t placed his hand exactly where he did, or if he was on the other end of the ice, he would of assuredly died as well.
