How many hours are typically required to complete each class? I'm sure it depends on which one, but wanting to get a real world idea. Thanks!

Chelegrity, post your email and I'll be happy to email you and answer any questions. Not sure there's a way to PM in the forum but I could be wrong.

ISDS 720 was a great class imho. Lots of assignments but nothing terrible. Anyone take the green belt from the class yet?

I took Fanta, while there was quite a bit of reading it was not too difficult.

I need some advice: For Summer AP2, I have the option to take MADM 701 (w/ Kimberley Williams) or MADM 760 (w/ Michael Meeks) I've heard, the best professor for MADM 701 is Kenneth Kungu. Should I wait for next semester to take his class and just go with MADM 760 with Meeks? Thanks in advance.

Definitely wait for Kungu. You can get away with just doing 4 hrs/week and still get an A. Just don’t miss an exam (weekly), discussion (weekly) or module (every other week) and you’re golden. I missed the first week’s exam and I’m soooo mad because I got As on everything else while only putting in 3hrs/week (4 on module weeks). I’ve heard other MADM 701 classes demand 15-20 hrs a week?!

@bkkhan I enjoyed Meeks. It was a lot of writing, but not difficult. 8 hrs a week on average , including groupwork.

If you need an elective that is a relatively easy A and obtain your green belt certification I recommend ISDS 720. You have to put the work in for an A, but I would not say it was a difficult class. At the end you have an option to test for your Green Belt also.

Are the foundation classes necessary? Anyone who had a degree other than business not take them and still able to do well? At Baylor, they're mandatory. How many hours/week does it really take you for each class? The advisor is saying 15-20, but would like some feedback from actual students.

I can't speak for the foundations classes other than they are not required - just recommended by the advisors if you don't have a business undergrad.

As far as the hours go, I think that 12-15 hours is a good average. Some classes less, some more...it just depends on how much difficulty you are having comprehending the class information.

@Quintus -- I'm about to start my last class in the program, and I've never seen one open up the actual content early. For my class starting on 7/8, I could see the syllabus and general information starting 7/1. That's pretty typical.

I can see one of my two courses syllabus, ISDS 715. In Moodle go to the Dashboard (Left side column) --> Future --> Class Name --> then the syllabus (if listed...) will be under "Getting Started".

I’ve not logged into moodle since 2009 at LSU.

Guess I need to figure out how to do that

Has anyone received honor society invites?
I see the information on the MBA resource center, but nothing in my email.
