Had another qeustion that I never saw addressed. Does the grading scale have + / - grades or is it just A, B, C etc.

Looking for insight on pairings for Fall 2.

Taking: ISDS 705 - Lin

Need 1 of these 3:
FIN 730 - Choi
MADM 720 - Williams
MADM 752 - Knotts

I'd prefer to avoid busy work, so I'm leaning FIN. I've seen reviews on Williams and Knotts but not much on Choi. Anyone had him for 730?

brent, I just don't like the hassle of scheduling, and the feeling like a little kid that needs to be watched. I understand the reasons for it but that doesn't mean I have to like it.

Thanks socal and AACSB. ProctorU does sound pretty terrible. Thankfully I haven't had to deal with it yet. With only 3 classes left, I hope I can get through unscathed. My proctoring experience has only been with proctorio and I didn't have any real issue with it.

Bobert_e, really just depends on the professor, sometimes its a couple weeks in advance, other times its not until the week off.

What time is everyone taking the ISDS 705 Test tomorrow? I go at 730PM

I recommend pairing a "busy work" course like 720 with 705 (zero busy work) for a good balance now and later. Not a bad idea to let Knotts simmer in her feedback and make some course corrections with her textbook and quizzes before taking 752.

What does everyone think about pairing MKT 701 (with Aadel) and MADM 751 (with meeks) for AP1 and then paring BADM 700 with MADM760 for AP2?

Also, does anyone have any of the course materials for any of those?

Thanks!

BADM700 if it's still cenegage is a really easy course. You should be fine pairing it with MADM760 with Meeks.

Pairing anything with MKT isn't really recommended, but Meeks isn't too bad. A fair amount of writing and group work for Meeks, but he's an easy grader.

MKT with James is probably the most time demanding course in the program. No one knows if that will continue with this new instructor. If it does, I certainly wouldn't want to take another class with it but others have proven that it can be done successfully. It all depends on what the individual is willing to invest.

Agreed. Scheduling is a hassle. I'd rather Proctorio with an open window for taking the exam.

Yeah I read that with James it was pretty rough. The reviews of Aadel on ratemyprof are very inspiring, looks like he's supposed to be pretty good.

Pairing busy work with non busy work is a good idea when possible but this is a busy time of year for me so I’m either going to take ISDS 705 by itself or pair it with one of the other options that might be more difficult but don’t require as much time and busy work.

Is FIN 730 a good pairing with ISDS 705 and has anyone had Choi?

ISDS 705 is the easiest class in the program. There is no busy-work. It would be a shame to take it by itself in my opinion. Definitely pair it with any other class. You'll be glad you did.

I'm curious about FIN 730 and Choi as well. I'm waivering between this class or MADM 720. It will be my last class in the program.

socal77, for ISDS705 I'm assuming there were no surprises & that nothing was changed in the structure & format of test 2 and that it's the exact same as test 1 in regards to the "search function" being the MVP again?
