Advice on bass fishing in a shallow pond

My pond is full of bass.
It is only ~ 5 feet deep, but the problem is that, what I call aquarium grass is every where and floats about 1 to 2 feet deep.
Floating frog lures won't work and I don't have any top water lures.
The bass love finger mullet. My plan is to use a finger mullet lure with a cork set about 1.5 feet down.
Is this even worth a try?
TIA

With this heat give them a few weeks and they will naturally float to the top looking for oxygen.

Weedless worm or lizard with no weight so it stays on top of the grass.

Weightless Texas rigged. If there are a lot of weeds go weedless. If that doesn't work, grab a bucket of nightcrawlers or minnows and go to town.

Buy a couple crank baits that are designed to only run 1-2' deep.

You cant beat a topwater bite. You can get the Shad Rap that runs the shallowest. Cast it and just let it sit on the surface. Give it a jerk and let it come back to the surface and let it sit. Repeat.
Get a Zara Puppy and learn how to walk the dog.
Like someone else said, get a cheap fly rod combo from Bass Pro and some poppers.
