Coach Miles likes to play all his potential starters in the first few games of the season that is a big plus not playing down !

Every week and sometimes multiple times a week, I see LSU is RBU, LSU is DBU, LSU is DLU, ETC.

I feel this makes us look bad, or specifically our coach look bad. I also see best OC and DC. we obviously have more talent than anyone and have great coaching, why aren't we getting the results that Bama is getting? Why do we consistently fall short of expectations? Why do we lose to Ole Miss? Why do we struggle against Arkansas?

You obviously do not follow recruiting. When you have a bunch of posters just spouting out baseless claims like most programs out there it does make a team look bad. These ESPN rankings are a big deal to a 17-18 yr old. They look at it and think the best place for me to take my talents for development is LSU. LSU has never had this much OOS interest from top level recruits. It is great promotion for the program when a top level recruit says on his Twitter or in an interview that "I'm gonna take my talents to DBU or DLU or RBU... LSU!"

You cant try to be rational with idiots like Tigerlee, he thinks the letters LSU recruits itself.

Being general accepted around the country as "____U" has some value to it so I think we should promote ourselves as such until the media just goes with it. Be it DLineU or DBU.

I guess some of the posters on here are not good at math. LSU is __U at several positions because it is NFLU. I believe LSU still has the most former players active in the NFL. We did last couple of years anyway. So if you have the most total in NFL don't be surprised when you have the most in a subtotal... they call that logic, Thibideaux!

I can see where the OP is coming from, but this is the SEC. We need to get top-level talent in order to win championships, and if some of that talent leaves early (which was a big reason for our defense last year), so be it. Personally, I think it's a great recruiting tool. If we're going after a DB, and he sees that "LSU is DBU" and eventually commits here, then it's worth it.

Of course, I think we'd all like to see LSU become known as "Championship U".

Obviously. But having ESPN repeatedly pimp us as WRU or DBU or whatever isn't a bad thing. I think it's silly, but recruits read and care about it.

I agree, but I'm pretty sure the OP simply meant put up or shut up.

Too many sensitive people on this site.

Who needs to put up or shut up exactly? We didn't tell ESPN to rank us a certain way. We're not hanging banners and putting trophies in the trophy case. The rankings are based off hard numbers and facts and are a testament for the fact that LSU prepares players for the NFL, which is an excellent recruiting tool.

That's not on the coaching. It's just a lack of not being QBU in recent history.
