I wouldnt worry about it. Much to the chagrin of the PC / everyone get's a trophy crowd, Snyder doesn't give a shite what they think and will fight this.
He will win the case as he previously did.

If it's really offensive and despicable to say that word and call a team Redskins then everybody should stop saying it.
It is really disingenuous to say its offensive and racist and how you are outraged over the team continuing to use the name but yet you continue to say the name and use the name to refer to washingtons football team.
Whether Indians are around or not you shouldn't say it if you are truly offended. I mean you don't say or use the N word when black people are not around right?

Only in America can we try to find things that offend us and correct a perceived wrong that just doesn't exist or is simply irrelevant.
I hope Snyder tells the whiny bitches to go frick themselves.

I'm still waiting on Ballcaster to tell me why the term is offensive.

Your cousin is a perverted child molester and WHY THE frick IS THE TERM "REDSKINS" OFFENSIVE?

And I'm not an activist on this matter. All I'm doing is talking on a message board about it. That's how important/unimportant this is to me. I'm not one to start this discussion. If the name remains, that's ok with me. But if there is a conversation where we are sharing our opinions on whether the name should be changed, then I obviously have no problem sharing my opinion.
In my utopia, America stops buying merchandise, and then Snyder makes a smart business decision and rebrands. As it stands, it looks like agenda-driven politics happen to have fallen on my preferred side of this issue, and though we all agree that our climate of political dishonesty and inconsistency is sad, beneath all that I have no problem when something breaks my way.

I blame Snyder for this blowing up. Instead of being arrogant all he had to do was release a simple statement saying the following and all would have been OK:
"The Washington Redskins organization is very conscientious of traditions and respect of the Native American people. Therefore we will be working with Native American tribes to ascertain the best course of action the Redskins organization can take to best honor and show respect to the Native American people, their culture and history. It has been the goal of our organization to show respect for all people and these actions continue that belief. We look forward to productively working with Native Americans on this issue and in the future.
Sincerely,
Dan Snyder"

Chiefs are next, then Saints. The shitty PC assclowns won't be happy until every team in every sport is named after an animal or color.

All I can say is having lived in the Midwest and seeing the appalling conditions that Native Americans actually live under on reservations, I hope all these White Politicians who care so much about the Natives continue their fight to actually make things better in their day to day lives. Something tells me they won't though, they'll just use this attention grabbing opportunity to show everyone how much they "care"

I know that YOU are not offended but you say that Indians are offended so why do YOU keep saying the word Redskins?
