People keep trying to compare the word Redskins to the N word & its usuage. Cann't remember the last time I saw a group of Indians on a street corner & thought to myself: "Look at those damn lazy Redskins!". There is no comparision in the day to day real world we live in. Spend more time and money on the real issues in the Native American world, that is something that does deserve national attention and action. But the use of a name is a major problem???

Are you saying that when you see a group of black people on a street corner you think to yourself "Look at those damn lazy N*****!" ?

A couple of ALJs at the Patent and Trademark Office figured they'd get their 15 minutes of fame. I understand that the dissent in the opinion said that the same case was before the office in 1999 and was overturned by the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals. I expect the same result in this case. 5-8 years from now.

The white washing of America's real history continues. The name should be kept as a reminder of America's past. Soon the history books will probably remove any mention of the trail of tears and Indian extermination if they haven't already.

Somewhat off-topic but did the Cleveland Indians remove the Chief Wahoo logo from their caps and helmets? Can't remember seeing anything other than their block "C" logo this year.
