Not even joking Icee hot clears them right up over night. I didn't believe it but it's true.

I'll bet if you put it on the fly first, you would never get the bite in the first place. Ever thought of that?

Do you realize how difficult that would be? They're tiny flying insects. If you're too slow it just flies away and if you're fast you'll probably squish it while trying to coat it. Grow up.

I agree. I like your suggestion of putting it in a spray bottle, cutting it with something, and spraying it all around.

I have not heard of "yellow flies" and looked it up...horseflys are about the closest thing to them that we have in Mississippi...
I did run across this rememedy that actually looks like it would be effective:
Here is a general purpose sting relief for yellow flies. It is also helpful for mosquito, chigger and jellyfish bites.
1 tsp. baking soda
1/3 cup ammonia (Windex is mostly ammonia)
1/3 tsp. papain (meat tenderizer)
1 crushed aspirin
Mix thoroughly and store in refrigerator (be sure to label container). When needed, shake well and apply with cotton swab, and rub briskly.

For redbugs all you have to do is put clear fingernail polish over the bumps.
