Looking at buying a Tahoe

I am trying to decide between a 2014 and 2015. From my initial research it looks like I could save about $5k by going with the '14. I don't really like buying an "old" body style however. So I will probably end up going the '15 route.
Also, don't know if I can justify the $10k or so to move up from the LT to LTZ.
Anyone have any tips (not general car buying tips) on purchasing a Tahoe? What features are worth it and which aren't?

the 15's are so new right now, it would probably be advisable to wait a little while until they start applying some rebates
if you could even wait until 2016's were available, it'd be the best, but thats unlikely

If you really care about money you wouldn't be buying a new SUV so go with the 2015 gmc Yukon. Or the Escalade if you are a true playa.

i don't think he was asking for personal finance decisions, so you don't have to judge him

Agree. I really like the new body styles, but $75K for LTZ is ridic.

I wasn't judging just pointing out that he is being penny wise and pound foolish. He's the one who brought up the economic component of the decision.

at 75K the only answer is toyota land cruiser

He just wants the best value and a new vehicle
He doesn't want to drive a 2009 Camry because it's a better decision

Get the 2015 Tahoe LT with the LTZ wheel option.

That one does seem like a decent deal compared to MSRP
I didn't think you'd be able to get 10K off this soon
I'm on the fence about the Yukon though, I've always liked the Sierra over silverado, but I'm opposite on the Tahoe/Yukon

Reading comprehension strikes again on the OT.
Or lack there of.

no one purchases them for the gas mileage.

Wife has a 13 bought about a year ago, neither of us like the new body and would have probably went with something else if it was our only choice.
LTZ is personal preference and only you can decide if it's worth the cost difference.
