What are your worst sleepy driving experiences

I have fought sleep with coffee, fapping, rolling down the windows, turning on loud music, and of course Rx aids and nothing seems to work. I drove from Bozeman Montana to Hattiesburg, MS in 33 hrs once. About 30 minutes outside of Hattiesburg I started hallucinating I was so sleepy. Have you ever fallen asleep while driving?

That would make the want to sleep way worse for me

I was on the way back from Omaha in 2007 from the CWS and completely dozed off and "woke" up when my buddies dad asked me a question
I immediately pulled over and let him drive for a while

Driving home from the bar in Tuscaloosa to northport. About 1/2 miles from the house I dozed off and hit a curb doing 45-50. My tire basically exploded.
Tricks I've used to stay awake:
Slapping myself (ineffective)
Energy drinks (ineffective)
Singing (effective)

A few years ago I fell asleep on the way to work and ran into the side of a bridge in my wife's Volvo SUV. Blew out the tire and broke the axle, but at least I didn't end in in the Intracoastal. It was the "Green Bridge" on the way to da Parish. Back in dental school, I used to drive from da Parish to Southeastern University a couple times a week to see my girlfriend. I used to routinely fall asleep on the drive home. Don't know how I made it through those years without killing myself or someone else on the road. And I wasn't even getting laid by that 26 yr. old virgin.

Fapping is not the answer
I drove off 411 coming back from Knoxville back in 2005. Scary

Woke up in the median on the interstate coming back from Florida once.

we used to go Tijuana a lot back in the day. One time I was the designated driver unfortunately, and fell asleep while driving back. I did not drink, it was strictly fatigue since it was about 3am. Luckily for me and my 4 friends in the car I started driving thru a bunch of bushes on the side of the freeway and it woke me up. Scary situation.
I had a friend years later that wasn't so lucky. His driver fell asleep on the wheel and they drove off a cliff. The driver survived but the 2 other passengers did not.

Leaving Clark creek. Just had smoked a quarter bag of Reggie with my buddy. Obligatory 311 playing on the way home. Hit I 12 and I couldn't keep my eyes open. Woke up 3 times doing about 30 in the right lane.

Drove freight between Watson and New Orleans back in the day (back in my teens). The Bonne Carre spillway was brutal at 6:00 AM on a Saturday following a 2:00 AM curfew and 4:00 AM wakeup. I spent more time out of the lane than in it. Later on, a buddy of mine at SLU termed it "driving by Braille" (closing your eyes on the straight stretches and waiting for the rumble strips).
Once when I was working 80+ hours per week, in grad school, and writing my thesis, I stopped at an intersection out in the country and woke up some time later to a UPS driver knocking on my window.
I've been to multiple SEC championships in Atlanta, but I've never spent the night up there--always making the trip back to BR at night (usually driving across Alabama at 90-100 with liquor between my legs to keep it from spilling).
Lucky not to have been killed with all my sleep-deprived shenanigans.

Driving the interstate after 12 hour night shifts and seeing double.

I don't have a particular one in mind, but worst for me is driving home after a night football game...early games are typically night games in hot weather and drinking all day in the heat plus a late night trip home is damn tough...
I typically have to chug a couple of mountain dews to keep me rolling...

Once left NOLA after going to a concert, after midnight...had to be back in BR for a mandatory 4 a.m. pep rally (???).
I had to slap and pinch myself multiple times. I finally gave up and took an exit to get off I-10, but I was so tired I kept going on the loop and ended back on I-10.
...But yeah, never again.

Cheap chewing tobacco such as Old Mule. Swallow just a little bit of spit and it will give you such a stomach ache that you won't be able to fall asleep.

Dozed off driving to Port St Joe, FL @ 5:00am during the BP spill. I was working 14 hour days 7 days a week. Woke up about .00001 nanoseconds before slamming into a vehicle that was parked on the side of the road. I was doing about 60-65 mph so I would've almost certainly have been toast. Thank you Lord.
