Oh, he doesn't willy nilly break the law, he intentionally and purposefully breaks the law. Him taking the law into his own hands being a vigilante in and of itself is against the law, much less all of the property damage that he causes.
Commissioner Gordon is also liable for all of the damage Batman creates. Negligent doesn't even begin describe his actions. He's a police commissioner for goodness sakes.

Or kill anyone either.
Well - one of the things that makes Superman, Superman, is that he doesn't kill. I appreciate Zach's nod to the comic book fans and it had an effect on me - knowing how tough a decision it was for Superman to kill someone.
And it had to be another Kryptonian - I can't imagine Superman taking the life of an earthling - and it had to be because he simply had no other choice. Out of all the liberties taken in the first film (which I enjoyed - I liked it - I didn't love everything about it) - that was one I took in stride.

I'm ready for a damn trailer already.

I'll admit that I had doubt that Eisenberg could pull off Lex Luthor (more so his look than his personality). But that picture kind of has me intrigued now. That's actually a lot better look than what I was expecting.

So Michael Stipe is going to be a legitimate challenge for Superman?

Every TV and movie live action Luthor has been too skinny for my tastes. I like the bulked up Luthor from the 60's and 70's comics.
At least this guy is bald.
I'd feared that we'd get the kid with curly hair showing up as Luthor.

I actually think his interpretation of Luthor will be money. I like Eisenberg, and I think he will be able to play a morally corrupt, sociopathic modern tech billionaire well...

I think so too. Ready to see a Luthor who could truly mindfvck Superman. A Luthor that is almost like Ledger's Joker in his ability to plan several steps ahead. It'll be great to see Lex as someone who sees Superman as an enemy to humanity, not merely an obstacle to world domination. Someone posted a few months back about they could have that scene from a story that involved Luthor absolutely owning some waitress in a diner. That's the kind of scene I'm looking for.
In every movie, Luthor has practically been the comic relief. (OTISBURG!) That shite needs to end.

My first reaction to this news was very negative. But the more I thought about it, the more I admired some of the casting choices, especially Eisenburg. I think he could easily play a great sociopath. Just looking at that picture, his face feels empty of all empathy. I like it.
Kind of reminds me of this guy:

Eisenberg will kill this role

I'm less worried about Eisenberg's performance than how much I'm worried about how his character will be written.

Valid concern.
I'm also convinced that him standing up to Cavill is either going to be completely awesome, or look absurd. I can't decide which. That's going to depend heavily on writing.

Yep. Gene Hackman was believable because of his delivery. I think Eisenberg is the only one who can make this believable.
