Hello neocolonial education systems.

I loved laughing at the posh English expressions my Ukrainian students used to learn and employ in speech.

ETA: That Empire of Victory poster is a Grade A Doucher

Look how active it is though. Every topic on the first page has a post from today.

Empire of victory is hilarious. After we kick their asses we should go on that board and shite all over it and call that dude out. Their insults are kind of funny though. Here a guy responded harshly to someone telling him that a certain player should be left out of his lineup:
quote:

Moron. He will remove your mother first!! Crack whore!!

And there is the response to that insult:
quote:

has your mother been f***** by her billy goat yet tonite? Or is it licki licki nite for her with her pet iguana? Kwadonto tell her I have a wall gecko for her to stick into her Vagina. O he fu onu? You dirty stinking jerkoff.

Same dude is on a roll, so he just continues a post down.
quote:

Your mother wasnt a crack whore and yt you cant tell which of the 1000 lunatics at Pantang fathered you? What can I say for someone who was born at Pantang hospital? Must be all those genital warts she was sucking with her clomosis. Otoolege...Onipa gyimifuo kwasiamapani te se wo. Do you really think you can intimidate me? You f***** troubadour.

Troubadour. What a great word to use on an African soccer forum. Love how they mix in some native stuff as well.

Someone asked the reactionary to calm down. Here is his response:
quote:

Ask that f***** jerkoff, who was fathered by the 1001st spastic that stuck his little toe in his Mama's trooomooo. Ask him how many feuds he has running on this forum for the past 15 years? I am not one of the people he can intimidate.
KO , onye aye tufle onu? He m) gbemi onu lo? Sooooonkp). Wo papa ne kontua mu wati? Wo ala ankasa wo kontua mu.

This is fantastic.

i haven't wanted to post on a forum so much since the realdoll forum (epic event)

here is my favorite exchange (page 9). it follows the "weary" post that was quoted in this thread on page 1

If you disagree, then please state your case/cause and enlighten us all. Thanks.

There is nothing to state. You have made statements that only time would prove/disprove. There is no point debating them.

Yeah I saw that too. I thought that was pretty great. Basically one guy said something positive about the US and they were like, nah, time will tell, but no point in discussing that.

While I'm not one for internet trolling, I will happily jump in board in this instance.

you people speak this shite on the street and in board rooms. I am fricking sick and tired of hearing ´it is what it is´. That is the stupidest fricking thing I´ve ever heard in my life.

ETA I´ve heard white people say ´jacked up´and ´hate on´ in these settings as well. Again, fricking sad.

I just don´t get yáll hammering Ghanians for using quasi proper English. You understand it at least (don´t you?).

people aren't really hammering them. it's just not really expected.

this is the internet, and we're not used to super proper engllish...from native english speakers from england or the USA

you have to recognize it's shocking to see non-native, African people speaking that properly...while talking shite about us

In their defense, when they speak English, and ALL do, when of a certain level, it´s what they learned, and it´s what you hear. It´s not weird to me. I´ve been in Africa a lot.

ETA It would be stranger to hear them using ´the lingo´, as they obviously listen to American music, like everyone, but it´s more about the music, as they don´t get half of what is said...

i used to write (more than speak) perfect spanish, which i knew would be weird to...whatever spanish area i was at. i had no slang or ethnic/regional variance. i completely get it. it's still weird

especially since they are talking shite.
