Can't remember her name, but not enough time is spent with the post-op tranny. I know they've told her backstory and why she's in prison but she was little more than an afterthought this season..well besides knowing more about vagina than any of the women.
Really hated, HATED the first episode. I almost turned it off and gave up on the show just because of the first episode. That's how much I hate Piper and her story. They could have made some shite up about how she'd contracted a staph infection and died in the offseason and it'd have been a better story than having to deal with Larry and Piper BS.
The Red vs Vee storyline was decent but not great. I pretty much knew how it was going to play out as soon as they properly introduced Vee. I don't mean I knew she'd be run down by an escapee in a runaway van, but I felt pretty sure Red was going to try to kill her, give in and then get attacked herself. I figured Red might be killed in the retaliation but that doesn't really change the story much.
I really liked the Pennsatucky and Boo friendship. Would have been a lot of fun to see how far Boo could have pushed it.
I didn't really care for the Crazy Eyes on a leash that we got this season. She wasn't a bad character, just not one that I wanted to see on the scree like I used to. I used to like seeing her because I liked feeling like she was unpredictable.
I don't know how much more they can really do with Morello, but I find myself enjoying the show most when she's on the screen. I just like her character and storyline.
Daya, baby, and baby-daddy storyline is tired. I thought going into the season it'd be one of my more favorite storylines. But now I just don't care now. I really don't care how that story plays out.
I think the only character I dislike as a person is Black Cindy. Every other character has at least A redeeming quality. I'd like to see her shanked and left for dead in the shower....err no, I don't want to see her naked, maybe in the yard.
I hope next season we get more Flaca Gonzalez. I mean the fact that she likes the Smiths is good enough for me. But I mean who else can say...
Think that's about it. Oh and Rosa was a badass.

I'm liking the flashbacks on the different inmates.

I agree that Piper having them go for Alex is all about her selfish desire to be with her. The scene with her wistfully looking at the letters seemed to confirm that for me. Their relationship evokes shades of Tobias Beecher/Chris Keller from Oz for me. One psychopath (Alex) and another rapidly spiraling to the level of obsession/insanity.
Cindy suuuuuuuucks.
Rosa is awesome.
Morello was a mind-blowing reveal, but awesome.
It feels like we're exactly where we were at the beginning of the season. Not much has really changed in terms of the dynamics. Vee was introduced, now she's gone. Red is probably out of power. Latinas still have the kitchens. Daya is still pregnant. The only significant change is maybe Fig and possibly Caputo being removed. And maybe Caputo's semi-agreement for care to the elderly goes out the window with him. Almost no advancement.
The first episode was absolute shite. It sets up a whole new group (which I didn't really care for, to be fair) and then just throws it out the window. The only point was to free Alex, and that could have been done far more easily. That was a poor decision, but I hope it doesn't mean the writers are revisiting that in season 3.

i expect to see more of it next season. im sure it will take the turn where PornStache wants custody of the baby.
i thought another part that was funny as hell was when the mexican gangster brought the baby into the visit and was all lovey dovey talking baby to it since he hadn't spoken 3 words in the past episodes
