Ceiling fan in the master bath

Do you install an outdoor one because of the humidity?

Mine is an indoor one. I guess you could do that but the humidity isn't that bad but for a small portion of the day.

ONE MORE THING:::

Install a manual transfer switch for a portable generator. Awesome use of $800

Excellent suggestion. I still want one of those. OP you must do this!

It's REALLY nice to have when the power goes out. Flip one switch and you are off to the races

Ice maker and stovetop for outdoor kitchen.

Ice makers (residential) only work well in conditioned space.

OP, foam the house. Use variable speed AC units. Hard pipe if you can swing it.

Eff Hybrid water heaters, use high efficiency electric models.

Mentioned that to my wife and the only thing she was worried about was that it would blow her makeup or hair while she was getting ready. She's always complaining because it's too hot in out master bath but didn't think that would work either.

Thanks very much folks.

A lot of them I have accounted for, but a few (USB in power outlests, CAT6 in rooms, Outdoor gas line) I had not.

Thanks much... please keep these coming.

All plumbed in and installed with auto transfer switch is gonna tear up $10K.
I'd go liquid cooled for the noise factor.

I am going to have to phase that in. I've been cutting checks like crazy and I don't feel like a $15k one right now. Great suggestion though.

Is this gonna be your final house? Or will you probably be out of it in 7-10 years?

You can get a 20kw generator for less than 5 plus underground gas

Eta: the plumber and electrician would probably agree to hook it up for free when they top out. Doesn't cost anything to ask
