Curious why Scivicque doesn't catch when Nola pitches.

Is it just personal preference for Nola to have Moore or Chinea ? What da deal is ?

The whole personal catcher thing is a little ghey
Having Sciv behind the plate allows for a better lineup, since Moore and Hale can play 1st and 2nd.
I don't mind KRob coming in with Foster and Chinea for last inning defense though.

He prefers Moore, they are close and know each other well

Agreed.
I also prefer Moore at first and Scivique catching than the other way around. Tyler is better than Cade at first and Cade is better than Tyler at Catcher IMHO .

Not so sure.
At the beginning of the year it was always Chinea.

If you're serious with this statement, then you obviously don't know shite about baseball (specifically about pitching)

The beginning of the season was experimental. Moore gave Nola comfort which has obviously resulted in a great season

we usually face the other team's best pitchers on fridays, therefore, tyler moore gets called upon

This makes absolutely no sense bc the combo of Hale, Moore, Scivicque is a MUCH better offensive option than Hale, Moore, KRob and there isnt much of a defensive dropoff if any.

That is what Coach wanted. Not what Nola wanted.

And you think now Nola wants Moore and that's not what the coach wants?

What I am saying is that Nola told Coach before the season started that he wanted Moore behind the plate when he pitched. Coach wanted to give Chinea a shot at it. Eventually, Nola got what he wanted.

Because he has a 1.47 ERA, 0.86 WHIP, 134 Ks in 116 innings, and with a 11-1 record. That's why.
If Nola wanted Javi to start catching him, then he better strap on those pads and get behind the plate.
