Not necessarily true. Oxford regional got zero rain after 6 pm yesterday but the whole day was wiped out
So the rain made the field's conditions unplayable? And they were forced to re-schedule around the rain?

Yep, just like we would have to do here. It's really not that difficult to figure out....

Good luck with no rain today.
There may be rain. There may not be rain today.

If there is rain, the games will be played at some point when it doesn't rain and the playing field is okay to play on.

If it doesn't rain, the games will be played as scheduled.

I hope this answers your original question.

According to NCAA.com baseball scoreboard

D1Baseball.com is showing us as the home team.

Are you sure? It looks to me that website is showing Houston to be home tonight.

Maybe I am looking at the wrong place. This is what I am looking at.

But that shows ULL as the home team, which can't be right. The daily scoreboard page is correct, I think.

It's horseshite.

Like last year. Sam Houston played the first game as the visitor, so LSU had to be the visitor against Sam Houston because "it wasn't fair."

Then LSU had to be the visitor AGAIN against ULL because LSU was the visitor once and ULL was the visitor twice and that wasn't fair either.

It's a bunch of shite.

That could very well be.

Thing is, the page that Russian linked can't be entirely correct because ULL is going to be visitor today, right?

UC-Irvine is the HOME team by virtue being the #3 seed and have not been home yet while Oregon State has. therefore UC-Irvine is the home team while your link shows Oregon State as the home team.

We are the away team. One of the Houston catchers was asking me yesterday after his game what dugout he would be in cause they had just won the coin flip to be the home team tomorrow (today). He thought at the very least LSU should still get to be in the 1st base dugout since our locker room is connected to it regardless of home or away.

Really. LSU went through the season and earned the home field advantage. Unless we are coming out of the losers bracket against a winners bracket opponent we should never been the away team in our own Region. If you don't like it, win more and get your own regional.

Totally agree

Like I implied in the other thread about LSU and Sam Houston last year, if you're the 1 and you won, and the 3 beat the 2 in the other game, YOU ARE AUTOMATICALLY THE VISITOR.

Ridiculous.

Kim, i think there is a bylaw that states if you're shut out by a SWAC team, you get to be home team for the rest of the regional.

You are probably right. I am just saying that D1Baseball daily scoreboard shows us as the home team.

Man, I love this time of year.

They feasted on Sunbelt cupcakes and then had to deal with the SWAC.

You realize when we aren't the home team we don't get to use any of our facilities connected to the first base dugout either.
