LeBron has ALREADY had a Top 10 career in the NBA, and the 2011 Finals are insurmountable in your eyes?

I obviously had to look it up. Almost put astatine by mistake. That would have been embarrassing.

To be considered #1 yes.

Go check out LeBron's #'s in elimination games.
They are pretty good.

Him getting to the finals is a stain on his career?
Yes I realize his play was poor in that series but they wouldn't have been there in the first place without him.

Why can't LeBron's 2 finals losses go down as bad marks? He played a shitty series vs. SA and DAL. That is honest criticism.

He played poorly against SA, but I don't hold that series against him. The Cavaliers had no chance of winning and really had no business being there. They were ONLY there because he dragged their sorry asses through the playoffs like some kind of demi-god.
The Dallas series? That should absolutely be held against him if we're talking "greatest player to pick up a basketball ever" status. I've never seen anything like that.

Absolutely. I give him credit for getting that team there. However,

This. His performance (especially in the 4th quarters) was sad.

He didn't just play bad, he wanted no part of that series. To this day it's probably the strangest thing I've seen from a superstar player.
People forgot about it the next year so to most it's not a big deal, but that was the point I stopped being a big Lebron fan. I had defended him for years on this board but quitting / playing afraid / whatever it was couldn't be defended.

Bad marks that are insurmountable???

I guess. It was an epic shortfall considering how great he was all year and in the playoffs to that point, but I don't find it to be some monstrous burden on his career when it is over.
Are you one of those that gets all excited that Jordan was 6-6 in the finals and argues that is a greater accomplishment than someone going 7-9? Serious question.

You're reading my mind.

That was just plain eerie

The Dallas series is easy for me to understand. It is simple. Lebron simply wasn't ready yet. His turning pojnt was game 6 against the celtics in 2012. That is when he realized he needed to be the man and make it his team. Jordan's turning pojnt was the 89 series lost to the pistons where he realized how much harder he needed to push himself to win a 7 game series against a great team. It is awesom watching players evolve

Well it is a more impressive accomplishment FWIW. I'd rather win 7 though. Jordan also went 6/6 Finals MVP's and never went past a game 6.
