I forgot about that...you dont need a bridge IF you have one of the connect items hardwired to your router. One sonos device needs to be hardwired to the router. My router wasnt by any of my amps so I used the bridge.

I am deep into Sonos. Love it. Have some zones that are powered ceiling speakers and others that are the Sonos speakers. Very much worth it.

Technically, the Sonos devices just have to be in range to at least one other Sonos device. And just one Sonos device needs to be hardwired to the internet.

I have 4- Play 5's scattered throughout the house, a sonos amp that is powering outdoor speakers and a bridge. I ran a line from the tv to the amp, so now I can listen to what is being played on the tv on all the speakers in the house and outside. Very easy to set up and nothing but great things to say about it.

+1 more for Sonos.

Sound quality is great on the play 5, and have a Sonos amp powering two outdoor speakers at my in-laws beach house. Set up couldn't be easier, and it's great for everyone down the shore to be able to control the music / add songs to the queue from their own phones instead of having one phone hooked up to a Bluetooth speaker.

If you can get 40% off, run don't walk to that deal. And in all seriousness, I'm buying a house and need a ton of sonos stuff...can you help me out?

I've got a bridge and connect hooked up to my receiver that is hooked up to ceiling speakers throughout the house. I recently bought the play1 to use in the front yard while the kids play. I love it. I hate mog has changed to beats because someone previously gave me a username/password to use for mog. Now it won't work.

What do you need if you already have a sub and some in wall speakers in order to hook up to Sonos? Bridge, Connect, or Connect Amp?

Looks like an the amp + the bridge. The in wall speakers seems to somewhat defeat limit the benefit of going with Sonos. Have you considered going with a typical receiver with Airplay?

I just moved in to my new house and don't really have any equipment yet, open to all options. However I do like the ease of use that Sonos seems to offer as well as being able to stream all of my music from Spotify to it wirelesssly as well as move the speakers around throughout the house depending on where I am. But if I want to go with a full surround sound set up it seems more expensive than getting a regular reciever/speaker set up.

Seems like an amp + bridge then a combo of Sonos speakers and regular speakers would be ideal? But I don't know this is very early research.

Also if you have one of the speakers wired to the network then you do not need the bridge correct? That one speaker will act as the bridge and all of your other speakers will be connected through the network via the one wired up?
