Yeah speeding is actually dangerous. Bad comparison.

Speeding could arguably be more dangerous

fricking this.
I hope the guy you are responding to is trolling, if not he is the reason that we have bullshite laws like we have. I guess we should just blindly follow whatever the gov't tell us.

I heard that under the law, the entire weight of the brownie can be considered an illegal drug. So, while there may not have been much oil in there (may even have been misdemeanor levels, dunno), all the other ingredients are factored in. So, the sugar, flour, coco, etc. are all considered illegal drugs.
That might be one of the dumbest things I've ever heard.
So sadly it probably is true

It's not about drug use.. It's about freedoms.. The government should not be able to tell you what smoke you can inhale or what brownies you can eat.. Screw the pompous judge and his bullshite ruling

Agreed. 5 years for littering. 3 for spitting on the sidewalk. Death for DWI. 25 years for speeding. All mandatory.

Hopefully you were willing to do months, perhaps years, in jail.

Speeding is potentially much more dangerous to others than pot brownies.
Duh.

America is turning into a police state and a prison country.

love how freedom is tossed around by conservatives. as long as that freedom has nothing to do with who you love, what you put in your body, and any religion that is not christanity.

I agree.
However, regardless of whether or not someone thinks what this teenager did should be legal...it's not legal.
5 to life is way too harsh of a penalty for this. But at the same time, this kid/you/I know the rules and the consequences of breaking those rules are spelled out.
Don't want to spend 5 to life in prison? Don't fricking make and sell hash brownies. Were the brownies (and the income from them) THAT important to him that he felt the need to risk his freedom for it? I guess so...

Speeding in a vehicle has a better chance of harming someone else. So, you're right, it's a silly comparison.

If you're going to be a drug dealer you should know the fines and jail time associated with your actions.

Heroin
Crack
Meth
Cannabis
one of these don't belong in the group.
