If the gas and food costs keep rising, why shouldn't minimum wage do so as well?

I'm not saying im in favor of raising minimum wage. I'm a
Libertarian and realize the ramifications of
paying fast food workers $15 a hour. But what is supposed to even out the rising costs of things that we need to survive?

Well we could start but stopping polices that devalue the dollar like $85 billion a month in QE money to Wall St. Maybe balance the budget, impeach Obama...

The free market.

Subsidized wages via welfare have helped keep entry level wages lower than inflation.

Because half the OT works for a few bucks more than minimum wage and can't gut the feeling of a poor black person making as much money as them.

Because uh Larry, when your food costs are high and you raise wages, the food costs get higher and you're at the same place you started. The answer isn't to raise the minimum, but to get people to educate themselves and attain a skill that warrants getting paid more than the minimum wage. It's not something you are intended to live on.

Are blacks the only people making minimum wage, or are you just trying to deflect the real problem by injecting race into the discussion? Typical.

Minimum wage increases contribute to inflation. It will also lead to layoffs (more people on the government teat) and push us towards automation faster.
